Livestock/ Project Auction

*** You must attend two (2) 4-H Club Meetings by July 13, 2026, to be eligible to participate in the Livestock/Project Auction at the 2026 Butler County Fair***

Changes to the Premium Auction, from the Butler County Fair Board

There will be some changes made to the Premium Auction (livestock, rabbits, poultry & static projects) this year. A 4% Commission Fee will be charged for any project going through the Auction. This commission fee will cover the expenses of the auction as well as maintenance on the fairgrounds. Note: it does not cover payments to the auctioneers as they provide their service free of charge.

Exhibitors who want to sell their project will be required to provide us with a W9 (social security number). This is a country requirement so they can provide 1099s to all auction participants. We will require the parent(s) to sign a form which allows the fair board to list the auction exhibitors first and last names on the Sale Bill. These two forms will be available before the deadline to enter in the Auction. The fair board operates under a 501(c)3 for tax-deductible donations.
